COMMITTEE REPORTS

Standing Committees

Executive Committee

President Shaefer reported that the Executive Committee had met prior to the meeting.  He stated that a discussion was held on ways to promote membership and attendance at the monthly meetings. The committee also discussed publishing a newsletter to be distributed throughout the community.  Items announcing community events and articles about people/businesses in the community would be included in the newsletter.  It was the consensus of the executive committee that a newsletter should be published on a trial basis.  The president announced that a committee would be appointed to work on the first issue.  He asked for a volunteer to chair the committee.  Derina Shelton volunteered to be the chairperson for the newsletter.  Other members would be added to the committee as the issues are published.  Members with ideas for articles or announcements should send their suggestions to President Shaefer or Derina.
